Atwixtor
Graphics is a small graphics design company about to boom. The
job was complete site design to attract customers in the high-end
graphics niche. Soon after designing their site, Atwixtor Graphics
became a close business affliate of Starstreak Web Design and
we are currently undergoing a re-design process for the launch
of their "dot com" site, atwixtor.com. The process
included an initial consultation of terms and customized graphics
design. The new "dot com" site will feature Atwixtor
Graphics' own images, however the current site is 100 percent
Starstreak material.
This
site was one of our earliest productions. The scheme was to
be an architectural feel, so we created a banner with a scanned
background and gave it a semi-transparent overlay with some
subtle effects. Total creation time: 1 hour. The screenshot above demonstrates the basic outlook of the Atwixtor Graphics page. The angles on the banner added a feel of elegance to the work that I carried out through the bottom "content" half as well. Also, the navigation bar has an "mouseover" effect which is always a plus because it lets the user know just what they're clicking on and really involves them with the page. Also as you can see, a simple 2 pixel background was created to add some texture and keep the page lively. By interchanging very subtle dark grey tones the page seems to jump out at the user and bring the content out even more. As mentioned above, this site is undergoing a new re-design not because the company was unsatisfied with our work, but because they are relaunching at atwixtor.com and they want a fresh page look with flash. This site also features the very valuable site editor and was one of the first sites to do so. We added this on after the site had already begun attracting customers, so little was done with it however Atwixtor Graphics has insisted on having our site editing application with their new site.
